I’m currently learning about Gram staining and I’m a bit confused about how to visually tell the difference between Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Can anyone explain in a simple way? Thanks in advance!

Gram-positive bacteria show blue or purple after Gram-staining in a laboratory test. They have thick cell walls. Gram-negative bacteria show pink or red on staining and have thin walls.
